MONDAY MUSE: FRANÇOISE HARDY

MONDAY MUSE: FRANÇOISE HARDY

"I never get bored. There isn't enough time in the day for me." - Francoise Hardy

No ordinary muse, Hardy, Mick Jagger's “ideal woman,” has inspired talents as diverse as folksy Bob Dylan, who dedicated a poem to her, and epic style chameleon David Bowie, as well as risk taking designers like Andre Courreges, Emmanuelle Khanh, Paco Rabanne, Yves Saint Laurent and the innovative Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo who tweaked one of Hardy’s lyrics to create the name of her label, Comme des Garçons.
Her look started with a winged eye, and ended with a boot, skirts are worn short, furs maxi length, and pants flared, bold sunglasses and boyish caps were the go to accessories. No fashion fan is immune to the allure of FRANCOISE HARDY, she is "the very essence of French style."

MONDAY MUSE: LAUREN HUTTON

MONDAY MUSE: LAUREN HUTTON

"Fashion is what you're offered four times a year by designers.
And style is what you choose." - Lauren Hutton

Known for her All-American charm, free spirit, beautiful gap-toothed smile and her classic style, 70's supermodel and actress, Lauren Hutton is one of the world's most revered fashion icons. No one pulls off simplicity like her, with her a crisp white blouse, a denim skirt, blue jeans, casual trench coats, oversize sweaters and canvas sneakers, she embodied the perfect mix of trendy and classic. Lauren Hutton has pushed the power of the white blouse and classic chic style more than anyone, and she can give us all a lesson in "less is more".

MONDAY MUSE: TALITHA GETTY

MONDAY MUSE: TALITHA GETTY

"I am not the same having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world." - Mary Anne Radmacher

In the late 60's fashion icon Talitha Getty consistently looked the part of hippie gypset in colorful prints, kaftans, and furs, her Boho-Chic style and Moroccan influences set her apart from the rest, a style that has inspired modern-day muses such as Sienna Miller and Kate Moss.

MONDAY MUSE: JANE BIRKIN

MONDAY MUSE: JANE BIRKIN

"Keep smiling - it takes 10 years off!" - Jane Birkin

Jane Birkin, has inspired many great stylists (Hermes’ renowned Birkin bag is named after the British actress), as well as legions of women (me included) with her free spirit and smoldering yet innocent beauty. Laissez-faire. Breezy Bohemian. Sex kitten. All phrases to describe today's muse. Her free spirited bohemian style consisting of slightly sheer blouses, high wasted and flare jeans, loose fitting tops and short hemlines, long delicate gold necklaces, and the wicker basket, she used as a handbag, are the key to Birkin's carefree look. Her look goes down in history as one of the most inspiring and definitely one of my favorites.

Get inspired and have an amazing week! :)
